Description

Following on from our ABC approach for analysing spinal MRI’s we will show you how to determine common degenerative and pathological problems seen on MRI such as the wet, dry and sequestrated disc protrusions, facet joint disease, subtle nerve root entrapments, ligamentum flavum thickening, spinal stenosis, interspinal ligament lesions, modic changes, fractures, pars interarticularis defects, and even the lamina defects. Such problems are often the source of pain in patients with back pain and or sciatica, presenting to primary care but in our experience, these features are all too often missed or not fully reported on MRI reports. As we have seen, if and when this occurs this can lead to a devastating wild goose chase for patients labeled with various (bogus) syndromes in a futile search of a cure for a “hypothesised condition” that never existed (e.g. “non-specific low back pain” or a “maligned pelvis”); all the while when time and proper scrutiny of the MRI scan would have revealed the answers. We feel this is essential learning for any clinicians or therapists dealing with Back Pain conditions (e.g. GP’s, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Personal Trainers, Yoga / Pilates Instructors, Acupuncturists). On gaining the analytic skills presented in this webinar, not only will your diagnostic accuracy skyrocket but you will be able to precision guide your intervention, management and advice given to your patients, this will transform your practise and exponentially enhance your reputation amongst clients and referrers (e.g. surgeons, GP’s etc).
