We will also teach you the navigation tools that come with the self loading software on the MRI CD’s and we will cover the gold standard software (for the layman) using MAC’s as well as cloud based systems. Module 2 - Understanding MRI scanners and MRI Sequences and Views of the Spine
In module 2 we will cover the different weighting or sequences used in Spinal MRI including standard sequence such as T1 and T2 and well and other useful sequences such as STIR which are of huge diagnostic value but often have to specially request. We will explain thoroughly the differences between these images achieved by T1, T2 and STIR explaining the pros and cons and a combination of all three can be used to rule our or distinguish certain pathological finding. In the second part of module 2 we cover different views namely Sagittal, Parasagittal or Foramenal view, Axial and Coronal. We will introduce you to spinal structures that can be visualised on each view and as with all our modules share key case studies that highlight the need for thorough understanding of MRI sequences and views together with the differences between standard supine Machines, vs open and upright MRI machines.

Module 3 - Understanding The Basics of Viewing Spinal MRI's – An ABC Approach
Our training system has been designed by therapists for therapists (and other allied professionals. Unlike some courses taught by experts in the field resulting in much of the content “going over your head”, we will guide you through our systematic approach for understanding the “normal” anatomy of the spine as seen on MRI. Carefully and logically explaining the different views and sequences, including those which usually come as standard and those which often have to be requested when referring for an MRI scan. Module 4 - Understanding Spinal MRI Pathology
Following on from our ABC approach for analysing spinal MRI’s during this in-depth 90 minute webinar we will demonstrate how to determine common degenerative and pathological problems seen on MRI. In our experience, these features are all too often missed or not fully reported on MRI reports. If and when this occurs this can lead to a devastating wild goose chase for patients labeled with various (bogus) “hypothetical” Back Pain syndromes, all the while when time and proper scrutiny of the MRI scan would have revealed the answers. This is essential learning for any clinicians or therapists dealing with Back Pain conditions. For a sample recording of this webinar click here

Module 5 - Spinal MRI Loop Holes - Case History Horror Stories
Having taken you through what we consider to be the 4 core modules required to appreciate the basic structures and features of spinal MRI, in this extended Case Study webinar we will present numerous (more) examples where suboptimal MRI reporting could have potential lead to long delays in appropriate interventions, incorrect or necessary treatment or surgery. By understanding how and when these loop wholes can occur you will be far better equipped to spot them in your clinical practise and gain the appropriate confidence to assist your clients with remedial steps.

Module 6 - Correlating MRI with Clinical Findings and Using MRI to Guide Patient Management
MRI reports (i.e. from the radiologist) are usually written with from the perspective of whether an invasive procedure might be required to ease the patient’s pain (injection or surgery). However, MRI scans and the images they produce can also provide invaluable insights that will help manual / physical therapists determine the best treatment techniques and advice to provide so their patients achieve optimum outcomes The first key step in this process is identifying potential pain sources and prioritising what may and may not be relevant. We will provide you with a framework for making this assessment and illustrate plenty of example where MRI has lead to successful patient outcomes that would not otherwise have been achieved without careful scrutiny of the MRI images and correlation with the signs and symptoms presented by the patient.
